About the position

The Front Office Manager II at Fort Lauderdale Marriott Coral Springs Hotel & Convention Center is responsible for ensuring an exceptional guest experience while adhering to standard operating procedures within the Front Office Department. This role involves managing direct reports, addressing guest needs, coordinating with other departments, and meeting financial goals for the hotel.

Responsibilities

  • Manage direct reports by ensuring Associates understand employment practices and supporting performance management.
  • Ensure Associates meet guest needs and appropriately respond to guest concerns.
  • Create a best-in-class guest experience by engaging with guests and anticipating their needs.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Manage labor costs and control expenses to meet financial goals of the department and hotel.
  • Perform or assist with cleaning duties to achieve cleanliness standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend revenue-driving initiatives and monitor revenue performance.
  • Recommend and implement changes to improve service and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty as needed.
  • Complete any other work required to fulfill the primary purpose of the position.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of hospitality, front desk experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of prior supervisory experience.
  • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years of night audit experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
