About the position

The Front Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, and guest service. This role involves maintaining a positive sales culture, inspiring subordinates, and ensuring that guests receive friendly and courteous service at all times. The manager will also control cash handling, oversee employee performance appraisals, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate planning, organizing, training, and leadership for achieving sales and guest service objectives.
  • Maintain a positive proactive sales culture with the assistance of front desk associates.
  • Inspire subordinates through coaching discussions and guiding daily activities.
  • Delegate tasks and follow up on expectations with each subordinate.
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, and property appearance through employee training.
  • Ensure all guests feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly service.
  • Schedule labor according to anticipated business activity and ensure proper staffing.
  • Control cash and receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
  • Review and complete credit limit reports and manage accounts receivable processes.
  • Make employment and termination decisions in line with General Manager's guidelines.
  • Prepare required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in a timely manner.
  • Assist with accurate forecasting and ensure timely completion of employee performance appraisals.
  • Administer corrective actions for policy violations and ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements

  • Mid-level administrative experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Clerical experience
  • 2 years of hotel management experience
  • Office management experience
