About the position

The Front Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the staffing and operations of the front office team, ensuring that all front desk associates are properly trained, scheduled, and performing their duties effectively. This role involves direct interaction with guests, managing daily transactions, and coordinating with other departments to enhance guest experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper staffing levels of front office associates, including interviewing, hiring, supervising, training, and scheduling staff.
  • Have a complete understanding of Front Office staff's roles and duties and be able to perform those duties as needed.
  • Accurately manage and operate the MICROS system at the front office, including all daily transactions.
  • Check AM and PM discrepancy reports accurately.
  • Communicate with Housekeeping and Engineering Departments regarding guest rooms and maintenance requests.
  • Greet and communicate cordially with guests, checking them in and out of the hotel, answering questions, and assisting with needs.
