About the position

The Front Office Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the administrative and clerical functions of the front office team at CaroMont Health. This role involves providing leadership and support across the site, as directed by the Practice Manager, Practice Administrator, or Senior Practice Administrator. The Team Leader will assign daily tasks to the front office staff based on the clinic's needs and will be instrumental in ensuring that the team operates efficiently and effectively. This position serves as the first point of contact for front office staff and is also a key contact for employees in the absence of higher management. The Team Leader will provide feedback to practice leadership regarding staff performance and address any patient concerns that arise, ensuring a high level of service recovery when necessary. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the administrative and clerical functions of the front office team.
  • Provide leadership across the site as identified by Practice Manager/Practice Administrator/Sr. Practice Administrator.
  • Assign daily functions for the front office team based on clinic needs.
  • Provide feedback to practice leadership regarding staff performance and patient concerns.
  • Perform service recovery as needed in the front office.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for front office staff.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees in the absence of higher management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one year of relevant healthcare experience required.
  • Excellent computer skills with a basic understanding of Word, Excel, internet, and email required.
  • Excellent phone and customer service skills required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Medical insurance knowledge required.
  • Advanced account inquiry knowledge required.
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills required.
  • EMR experience preferred.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
