In this position, we are looking for a Front/Rear Lighting Subsystem Engineer to design, develop, and optimize lighting sub-systems for both front and rear applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and lighting technologies, with hands-on experience in both design and implementation. This role requires a creative and analytical thinker who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve high-quality and efficient lighting solutions. Experience with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is a plus, as it will enhance the ability to deliver robust designs that meet regulatory standards and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop lighting sub-systems for front and rear applications.
  • Optimize existing lighting systems for performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product delivery.
  • Conduct testing and validation of lighting systems to meet safety and performance standards.
  • Utilize design thinking and user experience methods in product development.
  • Implement solutions that align with Ford's sustainability goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong background in lighting technologies and systems design.
  • Experience in both design and implementation of engineering projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Creative and analytical thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) principles is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in automotive lighting systems.
