About the position

The Manager of Front Store Systems Modernization at CVS Health plays a crucial role in enhancing front store operations through the adoption of innovative technology solutions. This position is responsible for developing and executing a technology strategy that aligns with business objectives and improves customer experience. The manager will oversee modernization projects, manage vendor relationships, and ensure effective training and support for staff to facilitate the seamless integration of new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development and execution of a prioritized technology roadmap.
  • Lead the development and implementation of new technology enhancements, including creating requirement documents and leading meetings with key partners.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Retail Operations, IT, Inventory Operations, Logistics, Finance, and other business owners to ensure project engagement.
  • Provide recommendations and updates to leadership regarding the FS Systems Modernization roadmap.
  • Establish, update, and maintain a clear set of actions across retail, including interdependencies required to accomplish overarching goals.
  • Identify new projects that positively impact colleague and customer experience.
  • Employ strategic thinking and proactive action to identify potential risks and challenges in advance.
  • Own the continuous improvement of programs and processes that drive service and productivity improvement.
  • Demonstrate agility to quickly pivot project goals to meet business needs.
  • Lead and participate in meetings with corporate partners and retail executives.
  • Create robust strategies under the guidance of the Senior Manager.
  • Drive change agility in self, team, and network.
  • Embrace organizational improvement initiatives and act as a change agent.
  • Leverage a results-oriented mindset using metrics to monitor improvements.
  • Provide constructive and appreciative feedback on ideas and key initiatives.
  • Develop and manage a standardized set of views to monitor macro-level trends and key drivers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in retail or a similar model.
  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating strategic thinking and developing long-term plans that align with organizational goals.
  • 5+ years of project management experience from inception to project launch.
  • 5+ years of experience creating technology solutions in a fast-paced environment, with retail launch experience being a plus.
  • Demonstrated high level of emotional intelligence.
  • Proven track record of high performance.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • 8+ years of experience working in retail or a similar model.
  • 8+ years of experience demonstrating strategic thinking and developing long-term plans that align with organizational goals.
