About the position

As a Front-End Developer at StartCap, you will play a vital role in creating user-friendly and responsive web interfaces that support our mission of providing innovative financing solutions to start-ups and small businesses. You will collaborate closely with backend engineers and UX designers to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality, leveraging your expertise in the LAMP stack to enhance our web applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the front-end of our web applications, ensuring they are intuitive, responsive, and visually engaging.
• Collaborate with backend developers to implement dynamic functionality using the LAMP stack, focusing primarily on frontend development.
• Write efficient, well-structured HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness for optimal user experiences.
• Work with designers to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimize application performance for speed and scalability, ensuring top-notch user interactions.
• Troubleshoot and debug front-end issues across different browsers and devices.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use, enhancing development efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Front-End Developer, with a deep understanding of web fundamentals like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Proficient in working with MySQL databases and integrating them with front-end interfaces.
• Familiar with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or similar.
• Experienced with Git version control and development workflows.
• Passionate about writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with React, Vue.js, or Angular is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with building front-end interfaces that interact with RESTful APIs.
• A basic understanding of SEO best practices and front-end optimization techniques.
• Experience with Linux environments and basic server management.
