About the position

Ark Solutions Inc is seeking a Frontend Developer to support their Development program in Lansing, MI. This hybrid position involves collaborating with development project teams, UI/UX designers, and business analysts to create and maintain reusable UI components that are accessible, performant, scalable, and robust. The role requires a strong understanding of web accessibility standards and responsive design, with a focus on compliance with WCAG 2.1 and ADA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development project teams, UI/UX designers, and business analysts.
• Develop and maintain reusable UI components that are accessible and performant.
• Test all development for accessibility using Jaws reader and browser plugins.
• Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1, ADA, and Section 508 standards.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience with React.js.
• 5 years of experience with HTML5 and CSS frameworks.
• 5 years of experience with ADA, WCAG 2.1, and Section 508 compliance policies.
• 3 years of experience with current Java, including relevant IDE tools such as Eclipse/Jboss Developer Studio.
• 2 years of experience programming with JPA framework.
• 2 years of experience programming with current Spring framework.
• 2 years of experience programming with Spring Boot and Spring Data.
• 3 years of experience programming with Java 8+.
• 2 years of experience in an Agile development environment.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years of experience programming in the JBOSS Enterprise environment.
