About the position

GovCIO is seeking an Appian Frontend Developer to collaborate with cross-functional teams in delivering impactful features. This fully remote position focuses on coordinating development efforts across departments to ensure timely feature rollouts, leveraging extensive knowledge of Appian's software for business process management and case management.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on Appian product configuration and process flow mapping.
• Liaise with customers to analyze and translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Produce rulesets, configurations, and process workflows for development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand client enterprises and lead program initiatives.
• Create and maintain business process and technical documentation, including workflows and architecture diagrams.
• Participate in meetings with clients and internal teams to discuss project requirements and progress.
• Implement design, development, and testing best practices across the software development life cycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of experience in IT, specifically in Application Development or Business Process Management.
• 3+ years of experience with Appian or other BPM tools.
• 3+ years in defining and documenting architecture for technology implementations.
• 3+ years of experience in Enterprise Application integration and n-tier client-server architectures.
• 3+ years of experience in all phases of software development following Agile methodologies.
• 3+ years of Business Architecture experience, including business capability identification.
• 3+ years of Business process modeling and optimization experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Appian and developing Appian Plugins.
• 3+ years of experience with Application Servers like JBoss, Weblogic, IIS, Tomcat.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of experience in a federal government setting.
• Certified Level 3 Appian Developer.
• Exposure to programming languages such as Java, Microsoft/.Net, and platforms like IBM WebSphere and Mule.
• Experience working with Appian Sites.
• 3+ years of experience with Agile Framework.
