About the position

The Front-End Developer position is a contract-to-hire role within the Customer IT Digital products team at an energy and utilities client. This role focuses on supporting a portfolio of digital customer-facing products, including outage processing tools and customer correspondence applications. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with mid to senior-level developers and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements for proposed applications and websites.
• Design application and database components for small-sized development projects.
• Maintain and modify existing applications; make approved changes by amending application documentation, developing detailed programming logic, and coding changes.
• Work on the frontend development for customer-facing websites.
• Assist in the discovery and investigation of critical production problems as required.
• Work on applications that support software-defined networks for customer products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of development experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Knowledge of the SDLC and software methodologies, including object-oriented design.
• Knowledge of middleware systems and Oracle databases.
• Experience working in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
