About the position

The UI Engineer will be responsible for developing high-quality, accessible user interfaces for web applications, focusing on performance and customer experience. This role involves collaboration with designers and developers to ensure adherence to standards and effective communication of design and technical risks. The position requires a strong emphasis on coding best practices and the use of personalization tools to enhance user journeys.

Responsibilities

• Develop pixel-perfect, robust, and accessible user interfaces on the web.
• Maintain a strong focus on performance while developing customer-facing experiences.
• Integrate and deploy experiences through CMS or personalization tools.
• Identify, track, and communicate risks for design and technical implementations.
• Work with designers and developers to ensure guidelines adhere to Academy standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and size epics, stories, tasks, and sub-tasks for team delegation.
• Leverage data and insights for consistent improvement in customer experience, performance, design, and engineering efficiencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in the relevant field of study or 1 - 3 years of web development experience required.
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS.
• Ability to work effectively in a non-remote, collaborative office environment.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
