About the position

TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video, and our mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy. As a member of the Privacy Product team, you will work on user-facing features that protect user privacy while enhancing their experience. The Frontend team leverages cutting-edge web technology to deliver features in the mobile app without compromising performance. We also manage mission-critical internal platforms that are essential to our business operations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers and designers to create a state-of-the-art user experience. Your responsibilities will include building a world-class frontend that emphasizes usability, accessibility, elegance, performance, and maintainability. You will adopt both automated and manual testing strategies to ensure product quality and will have the opportunity to learn and understand how TikTok products function, contributing to end-to-end solutions. Responsibilities

• Work closely with product manager and designer to deliver state of the art user experience in the products.
• Build world-class frontend, which combines usability, accessibility, elegance, performance, and maintainability.
• Adopt automated and manual test strategies to ensure product quality.
• Learn and understand how TikTok product works and help build end-to-end solutions.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Javascript, ES5/6, CSS, and various layouts.
• Experience in solving CSS/JS multi-browser compatibility problems and front-end performance optimization.
• Understanding of construction and continuous integration, familiarity with at least one construction tool.
• Understanding of component-based development ideas, familiarity with React, Angular, Vue.js, or any other equivalent library/framework.
• Understanding of back-end technologies and databases is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or related major.
• 2 years of industry experience in a software development environment.
