About the position

Davis Strategic Innovations Inc. is seeking a Frontend Software Developer to join our team in Chantilly, VA. This position is ideal for an early-career professional with a strong foundation in full-stack development, particularly with a focus on frontend technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end. The role requires a thorough understanding of React and its ecosystem, including MaterialUI and Redux Toolkit, to create dynamic and user-friendly interfaces. In this position, you will work closely with designers and backend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. You will be expected to translate UI/UX design wireframes into high-quality code and ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. Additionally, you will be involved in the development of RESTful APIs and will need to have experience with Python and Django for backend integration. Familiarity with AWS services is also essential, as you will be deploying applications in a cloud environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, enabling them to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Project management skills will be beneficial as you will be expected to manage your tasks and collaborate with team members effectively. Experience with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like EKS will be a plus, as will knowledge of machine learning model integration into web applications. This is an on-site position, and candidates must be able to obtain a Full Scope Polygraph clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using React and other frontend technologies.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• 3-5 years of experience with React and MaterialUI or other JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with React Redux Toolkit for state management.
• Experience integrating mockups and prototyping wireframes.
• Experience with RESTful API architecture.
• Experience with Python and Django applications.
• 2-4 years of experience with AWS platform.

Nice-to-haves

• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Good project management skills.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker, ECR, ECS, EKS.
• Experience incorporating machine learning models into web apps.
