About the position

As a Frost Investment Services Portfolio Manager I with Frost, you are our portfolio expert. In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of up to $100 million, implementing tailored strategies for investment clients across a designated group of accounts. You will use your effective communication skills and analytical mindset to provide strategic advice on client assets. Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of up to $100 million, implementing tailored strategies for investment clients across a designated group of accounts
  • Partner with Financial Advisors to conduct comprehensive assessments of investment client accounts typically under $1 million, ensuring alignment with specific client goals by providing strategic advice on client assets and collaborating with client attorneys and CPAs
  • Contribute to departmental oversight and operational excellence by actively participating in assigned committees
  • Engage in testing and evaluating Investment Adviser operations to uphold rigorous client service standards
  • Mentor Investment Portfolio Management Analysts, offering guidance on portfolio performance and alignment with strategic objectives set by the Frost Investment Services (FIS) Committee
  • Contribute insights to the FIS Committee, assessing assets for inclusion on the product working group
  • Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related discipline
  • Series 65 Uniform Investment Adviser Law Exam License
  • 2+ years of experience in portfolio management, demonstrating fiduciary oversight of investment accounts, OR a Master's degree in a relevant discipline combined with a CFA or CFP designation
  • Thorough understanding of financial markets and various security types, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to clients effectively
  • Proven track record in managing multi-asset class portfolios
  • Capacity to oversee up to 350 client accounts, showcasing strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft computer applications

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Finance or related discipline
  • CFA or equivalent financial industry credentials
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Advent, Bloomberg, and FactSet
  • Experience in delivering impactful public presentations
