About the position
The Froster at Nothing Bundt Cakes is responsible for applying the finishing touches to cakes, ensuring they meet the company's high standards. This part-time role offers flexible hours and a fun, upbeat work environment, making it ideal for those looking to balance work with other commitments. The position requires adherence to specific frosting techniques and inventory management, while also promoting a culture of teamwork and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Follow NbC proprietary frosting recipe and application methods with precision and achieve productivity goals.
- Effectively utilize measuring instruments, commercial-grade or handheld mixer, and pastry bag to frost cakes.
- Prioritize cake pre-orders according to schedule and frost cakes for walk-in guest orders accordingly.
- Ensure an adequate supply of frosted cakes are available for guests in the bakery display case and maintain appropriate frosting and frosted cake par levels.
- Adhere to the proper packaging, labeling, and storage of frosted cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintain frosting and refrigeration logs.
- Monitor inventory of frosting supplies and notify management when replenishment is required.
- Evaluate baked and frosted cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and inform management of any quality control issues.
- Clean, sanitize, and restock workstation, ensuring frosting supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift, and wash any equipment in the absence of the Dishwasher/Utility Employee.
- Comply with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene.
- Maintain a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.
Requirements
- Previous bakery experience is a plus, but not required.
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
