About The Position
As a Frozen Food Supervisor at Albertsons Companies, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the frozen food department. This position serves as a primary contact for customers, providing friendly, courteous, and helpful service. You will be responsible for placing individual items on shelves in specific locations, facing merchandise to meet division standards, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This includes dusting and washing shelves as needed, checking temperatures in cold cases, coolers, and freezers, and ensuring all aisles are clear for customer safety. You will also be involved in bailing cardboard and cleaning the floor, and may occasionally function as a cashier or checker. Additionally, you will complete orders and maintain inventory using a handheld ordering device. In this role, you will assist the Grocery Manager in directing the operation of the frozen food department, which includes supervising and training personnel. You will maintain the quality condition of all frozen grocery products, ensuring proper stocking, rotation, and facing of products, as well as discarding any out-of-code or spoiled items. Your responsibilities will also include cleaning and maintaining shelves, assisting in ordering, receiving, storing, stocking, and inventory control, and building displays. You will encourage an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness, emphasizing safe, friendly, and courteous service while engaging in suggestive selling and other sales techniques. You will assist the Grocery Manager in planning and organizing regular and seasonal merchandise requirements and special sales needs. This includes rotating and facing products, processing and discarding outdated and spoiled items, and ordering frozen merchandise. Training and coaching staff on dairy stocking and conditioning standards will also be part of your duties, along with assisting with grocery stocking and conditioning, working on new items, and managing backroom inventory and conditions. Overall, your role is vital in maintaining the operational excellence of the frozen food department and ensuring customer satisfaction.
