About the position

The Fingerjoint Operator is responsible for the safety and efficient performance of a Fingerjointer cell at Woodgrain. This role involves leading and training team members, performing machine maintenance, conducting quality checks, and ensuring productivity quotas are met.

Responsibilities

• Train the crew to work safely and maintain a positive safety culture within the work center.
• Perform sliver samples to ensure a quality product is produced.
• Achieve daily output expectations.
• Review the schedule for orders and machine settings.
• Perform transactions in SAP and tag finished units.
• Train new Fingerjoint employees.
• Complete TPM and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to provide coaching, training, and guidance to a team of 2-3 employees.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read a measuring tape.
