As a Senior Network Engineer at V2X, you will serve as a senior technical advisor to the Carrier Strike Group (CSG) and Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) staff N6. Your primary responsibility will be to support the ship and staff during the installation, testing, and problem isolation of C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) systems. You will provide end-to-end technical support for C4ISR, RF (Radio Frequency), and IT systems, assisting the CSG/ESG (Expeditionary Strike Group) and other staff with technology insertions that enhance speed-to-capability. Additionally, you will be expected to provide feedback to COMNAVWAR (Commander, Naval Warfare Systems Command), PEO C4I (Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, and PEO EIS (Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems) regarding system performance, design, and logistics issues. In this role, you will work closely with shipboard technicians, ship and staff officers, In-Service Engineering Activity (ISEA), Regional Maintenance Centers (RMC), installation engineers, and Fleet Readiness Directorate staff to ensure the required end-to-end connectivity to satisfy fleet C4ISR requirements. You will document issues and their resolutions using INTELSHARE FSET Status Reports and after-action reports, providing necessary reports to the Fleet Readiness Directorate as directed. Furthermore, you will provide on-the-job training (OJT) on systems for both shipboard and shore technicians, and may be required to mentor civilian and government technicians. You will assist shipboard technicians in preparing systems for inspections and support System Operation and Verification Testing (SOVT). The ideal candidate must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a high operations tempo environment and be willing to work a flexible schedule, including shipboard deployments lasting 8-12 weeks and overseas travel. Premium pay will be provided for underway periods, and work outside of normal hours may be required.
