About the position

The position at EY involves providing exceptional audit services within the financial services marketplace, specifically focusing on the Banking and Capital Markets industry. Responsibilities

  • Leading fieldwork, managing performance, and keeping engagement leaders updated on audit engagements.
  • Completing audit processes and documenting higher-risk areas to enhance technical and business skills.
  • Engaging clients and providing authoritative advice and professionalism throughout transactions.
  • Constantly developing an understanding of current market trends and processes and sharing knowledge to develop junior colleagues.
  • Understanding clients' unique ambitions and needs and referring them to colleagues in other teams to broaden business relationships.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business discipline.
  • Approximately 5 years' work experience as an auditor in a public accounting firm.
  • US CPA licensure in the work state.
  • Experience leading the planning, execution, and reporting on audits in the Insurance industry.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a collaborative approach to management.
  • Flexibility to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
  • Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of current market issues in the Insurance sector in the US.
  • Experience with FPNA & Reinsurance.
