About the position

As a Senior Manager in Technology Business Analysis at EY, you will play a crucial role in advising life insurance clients on transforming their operations and systems. This position focuses on managing complex projects, ensuring quality, and fostering client relationships while leveraging technology to achieve business objectives. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical specifications and leading teams to deliver functional solutions that drive success in technology delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage large, multi-phase projects and communicate with client expectations.
  • Build project teams and manage engagement economics focusing on chargeability and revenue generation.
  • Provide high-level technology assessments, planning, recommendations, and execution to achieve client goals.
  • Identify key client risks and opportunities, utilizing standard assessment techniques and tools.
  • Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and manage day-to-day relationships for exceptional performance.
  • Participate in business development and proposal presentation activities.
  • Provide project status reporting, metrics, billing, and client progress reports.
  • Ensure engagements are clearly documented and provide thought leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management information systems, or related disciplines; master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of consulting experience in technology strategy, transformation, or solution delivery projects.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience within the Insurance industry, preferably in life & annuities, group benefits, or retirement services.
  • Understanding of Insurance and Annuities products and life cycle processes.
  • Experience with policy administration systems such as FINEOS AdminSuite, ALIP, GIAS, etc.
  • Experience with new business, claims, and underwriting systems like Limelight Health, FINEOS AdminSuite, etc.
  • Experience supporting client relationships and business development activities.
  • Development of thought leadership and industry perspectives.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring team members.

Nice-to-haves

  • Program/Project/Workstream management experience in an on-shore/off-shore model.
  • Experience leading Agile projects and legacy migration.
  • Exposure to application servers, databases, development tools, middleware, and integration technologies.
  • Experience in roles such as IT or Business Architect, Business Analyst, or Developer (preferably Java / J2EE).
  • Strong communication skills for articulating technology solutions to diverse audiences.
