About the position

The position involves providing on-call support for IT issues during off-office hours and performing installations, moves, adds, changes, and disposals (IMACD) of IT equipment. The technician will work primarily from the office and is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving end-user IT issues, ensuring high-quality execution of IMAC processes, and maintaining strong customer service relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-call support during off-office hours for P1/P2 tickets and scheduled activities.
  • Travel to nearby sites as needed for support.
  • Disconnect/reconnect computer workstations, peripherals, and phone equipment.
  • Imaging and reimaging Windows operating systems for desktops and laptops.
  • Safely move equipment using wheeled carts and vehicles.
  • Manage IMACD and asset inventory tasks.
  • Follow ESD safety precautions to prevent equipment damage.
  • Provision operating systems and software onto workstations and laptops following documentation.
  • Use remote desktop connectivity applications for support.
  • Deliver and set up PC equipment for end-users.
  • Utilize a trouble ticketing system to document work events and verify customer satisfaction.
  • Provision and support wireless devices like Blackberry, Android, and iPhone.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues for PCs, mobile phones, printers, and other devices.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform on-call support during off-office hours.
  • Hands-on experience with imaging Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with IMACD tasks.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and installation of desktop software.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and GPO.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Apple OS X.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills with hard drive encryption software.
  • Experience supporting printers in an enterprise environment.
