About the position

The FSRM Advisor position at EY focuses on providing risk management advisory services to financial institutions. The role involves supporting clients with risk governance, developing business opportunities, and managing teams to deliver quality client services. The advisor will work on enterprise risk transformation projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Support domestic and global institutions with issues of risk governance, including Board and management oversight, risk culture, and risk appetite.
  • Contribute to the generation of new business opportunities for Operational Risk Management.
  • Develop long-term client relationships and understand the changing business and regulatory environment.
  • Document and communicate key risks to leadership and design controls to mitigate risks.
  • Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds.
  • Deliver quality client services by monitoring progress and maintaining client relationships.
  • Cultivate business development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-bachelors work experience in financial risk management.
  • Alternatively, a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field and 4 years of work experience in financial risk management.
  • 4 years of experience in risk management within banking and capital markets, asset management, or insurance industries, with a focus on enterprise risk management.
  • 4 years of experience in risk governance, including risk operating model, risk policy, appetite or culture.
  • 4 years of experience with projects involving the design or operation of elements of the risk management life cycle.
  • 1 year of experience in Enhanced Prudential Standards, Heightened Standards, Dodd-Frank and their implications to enterprise risk governance requirements.
  • 4 years of risk management consulting experience or in a second line of defense risk management role.
