About the position

The Electrical and Instrumentation Control Engineer position is focused on providing onsite support and troubleshooting for instrumentation and electrical systems in a pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical environment. The role involves commissioning and startup activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and delivering technical reports and presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of instrument application, operation, and of the electrical and mechanical principles involved in repair, testing, and calibration.
  • Develop electrical systems design narratives, technical studies, and reports.
  • Present technical briefings to management, program officials, and technical staff.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and practices.
  • Create and deliver concise technical summary reports to customers.
  • Prepare and present design reviews for internal and external customers.
  • Ensure best design practices are followed and drive process improvements.
  • Facilitate and ensure the quality of the project deliverables.

Requirements

  • Understanding of a Pharma/Biotech environment.
  • Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in engineering, or certificate/diploma in electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Time served trade experience (electrician or process instrumentation technician) also considered with good startup and commissioning and facility qualification experience.
