About the position

Admiral Beverage is seeking a Day Warehouse Laborer in the Anchorage area. This position involves loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site. The role requires a high degree of accuracy and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Due to the nature of the products being handled, applicants must be at least 18 years of age. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. The work environment is typically loud, and employees will be exposed to outside weather conditions, combustibles, large machinery, and mechanical parts. The position requires the ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform various tasks such as reading work orders, loading materials into vehicles, counting and recording units of materials moved, and performing housekeeping duties in the warehouse and sales center offices. Employees are expected to wear company-provided uniforms and safety equipment, and other duties may be assigned by supervisors as needed.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads materials onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, forklift, hand truck, and/or electric pallet jack.
• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Loads materials into vehicles to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Conveys materials from storage sites to designated loading area.
• Counts and records number of units of materials moved or handled, breakage, and spoilage on appropriate sheets.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases and other containers.
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and wraps bundles together.
• Performs housekeeping and grounds maintenance in warehouse and sales center offices.
• Wears company-provided uniform and safety equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to operate a mobile smartphone device.
• Ability to perform essential functions with little or no supervision.
• Ability to learn how to operate a pallet jack and forklift.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as directed by the business.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds as needed.
• Capable of meeting the physical requirements of this job, including standing, lifting, bending, and carrying.
• Willing to submit to pre-employment background check and regular drug screens.
