Responsibilities

• Assist in managing department operations in accordance with established standards.
• Role model outstanding customer service and provide solutions to meet customer expectations.
• Support sales growth through effective merchandising strategies.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing associates to meet department needs.
• Manage performance through planning, coaching, and disciplinary efforts in the absence of the department manager.
• Ensure department conditions meet quality, safety, and food safety standards.
• Maintain effective work schedules to meet production and customer service standards.
• Recognize and coach associates to deliver great service.
• Utilize company tools for financial reporting, scheduling, and inventory management.
• Maintain accurate records of production, shrink, sales, and inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Desire and ability to lead and manage a team.
• Demonstrated ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
