As a Cake Decorator, you will play a crucial role in our bakery department, ensuring that our customers receive beautifully decorated cakes that meet their expectations. You will be responsible for mixing and coloring frosting, decorating cakes, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This position requires a commitment to food safety and sanitation practices, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Review the work schedule and prepare for duties at the start of the shift.
- Mix frosting, color frosting, make cones, load cones, frost cakes, and decorate cakes with colored frosting.
- Take orders, complete orders, and store orders in the bakery cooler.
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors, and counters.
- Track and record loss.
- Demonstrate proper food safety and sanitation work habits.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must have valid identification.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively to complete job duties and comply with company policies and safety regulations.
- Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
- Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
- Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
- Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
- Must meet the company performance standards for the job, including regular attendance.
- Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
- 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred.
