About the position

As the FT Operations Manager at our Winchester location, you will play a crucial role in leading the operational processes that drive sales and profitability while safeguarding our assets. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the store is well merchandised and adequately stocked by overseeing inventory management processes. You will lead a team of dedicated team members to deliver a customer-centric shopping experience, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and fulfilling. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence. In this role, you will assist the Store Manager in planning and supporting the scheduling and execution of store workload. You will also be responsible for managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and requirements. Your ability to execute company policies and standards will be vital in holding your team accountable for store conditions and results. You will support and participate in the truck unloading and stocking processes, ensuring that truck standards are followed and completed within budget. Achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be a significant part of your responsibilities, as you will manage your team to meet their individual KPIs. You will oversee visual merchandising standards in the store, ensuring that feature space and seasonal layouts are executed effectively. Additionally, you will manage and execute inventory management processes, merchandise operations, and omni-channel processes, as well as shrink and safety programs. Training, observing, and coaching your team to achieve results will be essential, as will participating in the performance management process and supporting talent development. You will interact with others in a respectful manner, promoting commitment to the organization's vision and values while serving as a role model for your team. As the Manager on Duty (MOD), you will acknowledge customers, assist them in locating products, and provide solutions to their needs. You will also be cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production, assisting with omni-channel processes and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Store Manager in planning and supporting the scheduling and execution of store workload.

Requirements

  • Retail management leadership experience.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
