As a Merchandise Coordinator, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring that Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, working as a cohesive team. Your role will ensure an excellent customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers while maintaining a clean and organized store. You will model exceptional customer service and create a positive internal and external customer experience. In this position, you will orchestrate truck deliveries, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor. You will train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, ensuring that merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded. Communication with the Coordinator on Duty is essential to ensure the efficient flow of goods to the sales floor. You will monitor the productivity of your team, coaching as necessary, and organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment. Upholding merchandising philosophy and signage standards is crucial, as is maintaining all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area. You will also ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs where applicable, communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provide progress updates. Recognition and constructive feedback will be part of your daily interactions, and you will partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness. Adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures is a must, as is promoting credit and loyalty programs and supporting store shrink reduction goals and programs. Safety awareness and maintaining a safe environment will be part of your responsibilities, along with other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Under 1 year of experience in retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
  • Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and responding appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Able to train others.
