About the position

The FTE Sports Pediatric Physical Therapist at Scottish Rite for Children is responsible for providing comprehensive physical therapy services to pediatric patients. This role emphasizes age-appropriate and family-centered care, ensuring that treatment aligns with current evidence-based practices and regulatory standards. The therapist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and participate in community wellness programs.

Responsibilities

• Performs examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, intervention, and outcome in accordance with professional standards and hospital policies.
• Provides age-appropriate and family-centered care based on evidence and practice standards.
• Completes documentation per departmental and hospital policy, understanding revenue cycle implications.
• Utilizes effective communication with providers, patients, families, and hospital staff.
• Supervises therapy aides, students, and volunteers to maintain patient safety and regulatory standards.
• Participates in the education of new employees, students, and volunteers.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care outcomes.
• Engages in professional development activities and shares knowledge with staff.
• Participates in research projects, performance improvement processes, and quality initiatives.
• Seeks opportunities to participate in community activities that benefit patients and promote wellness.

Requirements

• Current licensure to practice in the State of Texas in applicable profession.
• Successful completion of training in an accredited program in applicable profession.
• Certification in BLS.
• 3 or more years of experience.
