About the position
The Fuel Center Clerk at Fred Meyer is responsible for assisting customers, managing the cash register, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the fuel center. This part-time role emphasizes customer service, adherence to safety guidelines, and compliance with company policies while fostering a respectful and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers at the fuel center
- Manage cash register operations
- Maintain neatness and cleanliness of the fuel center
- Recover stock and manage inventory
- Fill out incident and security reports
- Maintain compliance documentation
- Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety
- Pump gas and complete daily tours and inspections
- Clean up fuel spills and complete Fuel Spill Reports
- Perform cashier functions and answer telephones
- Comply with corporate policies and safety guidelines
- Promote and follow company initiatives
- Maintain knowledge of emergency plans, numbers, and procedures
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
Requirements
- Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work without direct supervision
