About the position

Sun Country Airlines is seeking a part-time Fuel Desk Coordinator to manage calls from staff requesting to fuel their planes. This role is crucial in ensuring that fueling requests are handled efficiently and accurately. The Fuel Desk Coordinator will be responsible for verifying the location and identity of the staff making the request, as well as authorizing the fueling process. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, as all fueling details must be entered into the required database to document each call properly. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. The Fuel Desk Coordinator will answer all incoming calls to the fuel desk promptly and look up flight information on the master spreadsheet. They will also review the location in the desk database to ensure that the staff placing the call is certified to fuel the plane. Additionally, the Coordinator will be responsible for entering all fueling-related data into the master daily spreadsheet and separating regulated and non-regulated paperwork in the ACC from the operation. Other duties may be assigned by management as needed. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate will be expected to pass a post-offer pre-employment drug test and a background check, including airport security clearance and a fingerprint-based criminal history record check as mandated by federal law.

Responsibilities

  • Handle calls from staff requesting to fuel their planes.
  • Verify the location and name of the staff fueling the plane.
  • Authorize the approval to fuel based on verification.
  • Enter all fueling details into the required database.
  • Look up flight information on the master spreadsheet.
  • Review the location in the desk database to ensure staff is certified to fuel the plane.
  • Separate regulated and non-regulated paperwork in the ACC from the operation.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work well independently.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
  • PC proficient.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to pass a post-offer pre-employment drug test.
  • Pass a post-offer pre-employment background check, including airport security clearance and a fingerprint-based background and criminal history record check required by federal law.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous airline or call center experience.
  • Experience in maintaining and sorting/filing paper records.
