About The Position
As a Fulani Telephone Interpreter at LanguageLine Solutions, you will play a crucial role in bridging communication gaps between Fulani and English speakers across various industries. This remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while making a significant impact on the lives of limited-English speakers, as well as the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community. You will be responsible for handling calls on demand, interpreting conversations accurately and professionally, and ensuring that cultural nuances are respected and understood. Your work will span multiple sectors, including healthcare, government, insurance, finance, utilities, travel, hospitality, law enforcement, and emergency services. In this role, you will receive industry-leading training to enhance your interpreting skills and cultural competency. You will be supported by a Senior Language Specialist and have access to Interpreter and Technology Help Desks to assist you in your daily tasks. The position requires you to maintain a professional demeanor, respond promptly to interpreting sessions, and adhere to established protocols to meet client expectations. You will also need to demonstrate a commitment to cultural sensitivity and inclusivity in a diverse work environment. This position does not involve written translation; however, it requires fluency in both Fulani and English, along with the ability to navigate complex conversations and technical subjects. You will be expected to maintain a quiet and secure work environment to ensure the quality of your interpretations.
