About the position

As a Fulfillment Expert at Target, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive a consistent and high-quality experience. This position is centered around operations, process, and efficiency, enabling you to help guests get what they want, when they want it, and how they want it. The fulfillment team is responsible for picking, prepping, packing, sorting, and shipping products safely and effectively, delivering convenience and quality to our guests. In this dynamic work environment, your daily tasks will vary based on guest ordering patterns, allowing you to develop skills that are essential for a successful career in retail. You will gain experience in assessing daily business needs and utilizing tools to meet digital demand. Additionally, you will learn about reporting systems that track digital guest traffic patterns and adapt to changing demands. Your role will also involve understanding retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory management, and process efficiency improvements. A typical day as a Fulfillment Expert will include creating a welcoming experience for guests, engaging with them to understand their needs, and providing solutions to enhance their shopping experience. You will select items for order pickup, drive-up, and shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in fulfilling orders. Maintaining an organized workspace, following safety guidelines, and supporting guest services are also key responsibilities. This role requires a welcoming attitude, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests.
  • Observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact.
  • Engage with guests in a genuine way, asking questions to better understand their specific needs.
  • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve issues for guests.
  • Select items for order pickup, drive-up, and shipment for digital guest orders.
  • Accurately put on hold all order pickup and drive-up orders.
  • Properly prepare, pack, and sort guest orders for shipment using correct materials.
  • Deliver quality and accuracy with each order while meeting timeliness goals.
  • Own your workspace and supplies; keep equipment and designated areas organized and stocked.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, operating procedures, and product freshness standards.
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up, and Drive Up.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Capability to resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
  • Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.
