About The Position

The Fulfillment Manager at Industrial Metal Supply is responsible for overseeing the order fulfillment process in a warehouse environment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality in operations. This role involves managing a team, collaborating with various stakeholders, and implementing best practices to enhance customer satisfaction and operational performance. The position requires a hands-on approach, with the manager actively participating in warehouse activities and working second shifts as needed to support operations.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of progressive warehouse operations experience managing a team of at least 15.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Strong background in data analysis and presentation.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making.
  • Strong customer, quality, and results orientation.
  • Knowledge of company products and processing equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
  • Knowledge of ISO procedures and ASME B30.2 standards.
  • Understanding of personnel management and supervision principles.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with International Organization of Standardization (ISO) procedures.
  • Knowledge of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standards.
  • Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise activities including receiving, stocking, order processing, and customer deliveries.
  • Drive QMS performance to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  • Create a culture of safety and accountability among warehouse associates.
  • Elevate floor supervisors to build high-performing teams and improve retention rates.
  • Implement best practices for cost savings and achieving KPIs.
  • Collaborate with HR to enhance associate skillsets and satisfaction.
  • Establish and implement training and development plans for warehouse staff.
  • Conduct hiring processes for warehouse associates, focusing on quality candidates.
  • Work closely with Sales to enhance customer experience and market share.
  • Ensure quality throughout warehouse processes, including material handling and order accuracy.
  • Monitor compliance with ISO procedures in warehouse operations.
  • Maintain an organized warehouse with proper stock management and traceability.
  • Establish production standards and monitor adherence to procedures.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules for warehouse equipment.
  • Communicate regularly with management regarding staffing and operational issues.
  • Visit customers to assess their changing needs and desires.
  • Monitor warehouse parameters such as payroll, expenses, and safety programs.
