About the position

As a Fulfillment Operations Team Leader at Target, you will be part of a team that ensures guests receive their orders accurately and efficiently. This role involves leading a team to execute best practices in fulfillment operations, driving service culture, and supporting sales growth. You will be responsible for workload planning, team development, and maintaining a high standard of guest service. Your typical day will include coaching team members, optimizing workload, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding and learning.
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience.
  • Drive fulfillment goals and understand your role in supporting sales growth.
  • Utilize workload planning tools to complete all scheduled workload.
  • Review fulfillment reporting to identify gaps and develop a plan to resolve.
  • Create intra-day workload optimization plans for your team.
  • Enable efficient delivery to guests by leading pickup and ship from store workload.
  • Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions.
  • Establish clear goals around quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Support team onboarding and learning.
  • Lead and coach the team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all fulfillment processes.
  • Work a schedule that aligns to guest and business needs.
  • Ensure supplies are ordered timely and stocked.
  • Follow all safe and secure training and processes as a key carrier.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Model a safety advocacy culture.
  • Address store needs such as emergency and regulatory visits.
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier and order pick up.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude.
  • Effective communication skills.
