About the position
As a Part-time Fulfillment Specialist at Fastenal, you will embark on a dynamic journey where your primary responsibility will be to deliver excellence in inventory management and customer service. This role is centered around replenishing inventory solutions and managing our industry-leading vending program. You will be responsible for making deliveries to customer sites, performing replenishments of our managed inventory programs, and maintaining equipment, ensuring that our customers receive the best service possible. This position is based at our branch located at 1901 Leech Ave, Sioux City, IA 51106, and offers up to 28 hours of work per week, with shifts available from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our innovative solutions, interacting with customers while making deliveries and fulfilling orders at their sites. Your ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently will be crucial as you work independently and as part of a team to ensure the success of the branch. The position requires a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail, as you will be handling packages that typically weigh between 25 to 50 pounds, with some packages weighing up to 75 pounds. You will also be expected to pass a drug screen and background checks as required by our customers. Responsibilities
- Making deliveries with a company vehicle to fulfill inventory at customer sites
- Performing replenishment and general maintenance of vending equipment
- Interacting with our customers while making deliveries
- Placing and fulfilling orders at customer sites
- Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
- Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located
- Ability to meet driving record requirements to use a company vehicle
- Proficient written and oral communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented
- Demonstrate attention to detail and strong sense of urgency
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork
- Ability to lift, slide, carry, and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
- Pass the required drug screen
- Pass a background check required by a customer/contract serviced by this location
- Pass a sex offender registry check required by a customer/contract serviced by this location
