About the position

As a Fulfillment Warehouse Associate at Amazon, you will be an integral part of the warehouse team responsible for preparing customer orders. This role is fast-paced and physical, requiring you to work in various areas such as merchandise handling, customer returns, and general fulfillment. Your primary duties will include selecting, packing, and shipping orders, sometimes for our expedited delivery service that promises delivery in two hours or less. You will be expected to receive and organize inventory, prepare customer orders for shipment, and load boxes onto trucks. Additionally, you will utilize scanners to read bar codes and follow on-screen prompts to complete tasks efficiently. In this position, you will also troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fulfillment process and ensure that all products meet quality standards. Operating power industrial trucks (PIT), such as forklifts and pallet drivers, is a key part of the job, and you will receive the necessary training and certification at no cost. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 49 pounds, push carts weighing up to 60 pounds, and perform various movements such as standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout your shift. You may also need to work at heights of up to 40 feet and navigate stairs as part of your daily responsibilities. Responsibilities

  • Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
  • Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
  • Go up and down stairs (where applicable)
  • Work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable)
  • Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards

Requirements

  • Candidates must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines
