About the position

The Full Charge Bookkeeper/Office Administrator at Vision Aerospace LLC is responsible for managing the financial records of the firm, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, processing payroll, and assisting with human resources tasks. This role requires a strong background in financial management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting, along with excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial records of the firm's clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll ledgers, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Process and record all financial transactions, including cash receipts and disbursements, credit card transactions, bank deposits, payroll transactions, and loan amortization adjustments.
  • Prepare and timely file compliance tax returns, such as sales tax returns and business property tax statements, and assist with audits and tax planning.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Review financial statements and provide recommendations for improvement or changes.
  • Communicate financial information and assist with questions surrounding accounting principles or treatments of transactions.
  • Assist with multiple HR tasks and special projects for the Senior VP and CEO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm or similar environment
  • Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and completeness
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Understanding of tax laws and regulations
  • Familiarity with GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Experience processing payroll through Paychex platform
