About the position

The Full Charge Bookkeeper position at AMASC in Austin, TX, is a part-time role focused on managing accounting functions, particularly in a medical office environment. The role requires expertise in QuickBooks and involves responsibilities such as insurance billing, reimbursement tracking, and revenue cycle reporting. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting and improve efficiency in accounts receivable management.

Responsibilities

  • Complete practice end-of-month reporting and close procedures.
  • Keep QuickBooks up to date on a weekly basis.
  • Participate in payer discussion and analysis requirements.
  • Track reimbursement trends and identify carrier underpayments.
  • Work with the Administrator and CEO on relevant projects.
  • Maintain all applicable system records and master table files in the billing system.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years experience in a medical office environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center is preferred.
  • CPA, CPC, RMC, ROCC, and/or CHONC certification preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with PeopleSoft Accounting
  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Management experience in a medical office setting.
