About the position

The Full-Charge Bookkeeper position is a part-time role at a busy accounting and tax preparation firm in Concord, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting principles, with the ability to manage multiple clients efficiently. This in-person position requires a commitment to working in the office Monday through Friday for 4-5 hours each day.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the General Ledger using both accrual and cash accounting methods.
  • Perform deposits, transfers, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports.
  • Conduct data entry and maintain accurate records.
  • Execute general journal entries.
  • Switch between multiple clients throughout the day.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, including cash and accrual methods.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Online.
  • Strong skills in MS Office applications.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
