We are seeking a dependable and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our small family-owned retail business. The role involves managing various accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and utilizing QuickBooks for financial reporting and bookkeeping tasks. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable (A/P, A/R)
  • Conduct inventory management and bank reconciliations
  • File sales tax and prepare sales commission reports
  • Prepare financial reports and ensure accuracy of business transactions
  • Perform data entry and miscellaneous administrative duties

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with GAAP standards
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience in payroll processes, accounts payable, and tax regulations
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
