About the position

Spherion Gainesville, FL is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage the accounting, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and purchasing functions of the Company. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of the organization and will report directly to the President/CEO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the general ledger and all bookkeeping needs, ensuring accurate payroll processing, and maintaining accounts receivable and payable systems. Additionally, the Full Charge Bookkeeper will handle product purchasing and inventory management, utilizing the ConnectWise PSA Product Catalog. The position requires the creation and maintenance of a Standard Operating Procedures Manual for accounting functions, which will serve as a guide for best practices within the department. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will also be tasked with providing financial information to management through daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports that effectively convey the financial performance and well-being of the Company. Key financial reports will need to be prepared on a monthly basis, and the role includes maintaining vehicle records and processing DMV renewals for all Company vehicles. Other duties may be assigned as necessary, making this a dynamic and multifaceted position.

Responsibilities

  • General ledger and all bookkeeping needs for the Company
  • Payroll systems and records including timely processing of payroll, payroll tax deposits and payroll tax returns
  • Accounts receivable and payable systems and records
  • Product Purchasing & Inventory Management systems and the ConnectWise PSA Product Catalog
  • Create and maintain the Standard Operating Procedures Manual for the accounting functions
  • Provide financial information to management comprised of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports that effectively convey the financial performance and well-being of the Company
  • Prepare key financial reports on a monthly basis
  • Maintain vehicle records and process DMV renewals for all Company vehicles
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associates/Bachelor’s degree or advanced education and training highly desired
  • 6+ years’ experience as a full charge bookkeeper
  • Bookkeeping experience in a small business setting
  • Intimate understanding of a chart of accounts, journal entries, and generally accepted accounting principles
  • Substantial experience in working with QuickBooks
  • Extensive experience with all Microsoft Office Products
  • Must be tech savvy and be able to learn new technologies quickly
  • Attention to detail
