About the position

The Full-Charge Bookkeeper will manage all aspects of the company's accounting and bookkeeping functions. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and processing weekly payroll
  • Managing the full cycle of accounting activities for the company
  • Collating and entering vendor expenses
  • Invoicing customers
  • Processing accounts receivable
  • Processing accounts payable
  • Processing employee timesheets
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements
  • Helping prepare tax returns and handling all tax related tasks
  • Coordinating tasks with CPA
  • Preparing documents for audits
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions and documentation
  • Generating financial reports like income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Utilizing ComputerEase Accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Emails

Requirements

  • AA or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 3 or more years of experience as a full charge bookkeeper, payroll specialist, or similar role
  • Proficient in accounting software (ComputerEase, Quickbooks, etc)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and the full accounting cycle
  • Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Certification such as Certified Bookkeeper or equivalent is a plus
  • Must know all relevant accounting and regulatory standards
  • Must have a high level of integrity and trustworthiness
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ComputerEase Accounting software
  • Certification such as Certified Bookkeeper or equivalent
