About the position

The Full Charge Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of a non-profit organization in Ansonia. Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyze, and report monthly, quarterly, and annual financials for grants and contracts.
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain comprehensive grant files and collaborate with program managers to ensure accurate reporting and budgeting.
  • Monitor expenditures, revenues, and budgets, and notify management of any discrepancies.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with tax and benefit regulations.
  • Assist with month-end closing, audits, and the development of financial policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks.
