About the position

Established company in central Fresno is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper to join the team. This individual oversees all aspects of financial record-keeping and reporting. As the Full-Charge Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial transactions and ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. In this position, you will maintain and update general ledger accounts, process accounts payable and accounts receivable, and reconcile bank statements and monthly financial statements. You will also prepare financial reports and statements for management, manage payroll processing and related tax filings, and handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. Ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements is crucial, as is assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities. You will coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and manage and maintain accurate financial records while performing other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 10 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
