About the position

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role involves managing all aspects of bookkeeping and accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining the company's financial records. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, along with the ability to work independently in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts.
• Oversee all aspects of accounts payable and receivable.
• Process payroll and related reporting.
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Handle journal entries and accruals.
• Ensure accurate and timely tax filings and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Work with external auditors for year-end audits and assist with tax preparation.
• Provide financial reporting and analysis to management as needed.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Perform other duties as required to support the finance department.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in full charge bookkeeping or similar accounting role.
• Strong proficiency with accounting software QuickBooks.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus (not required).
