About the position

We are seeking a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update general ledger accounts
• Prepare and record journal entries for financial transactions
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements
• Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify discrepancies
• Utilize accounting software to input and track financial information
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations
• Provide support during the annual budgeting process
• Ensure that all policies and procedures are being followed in regards to Accounting within the department as well as the company

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar role running an Accounting Department
• At least 3 years experience in the role as Bookkeeper
• At least 3 years experience with QuickBooks Desktop
• Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in debits, credits, and journal entries
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage)
• Solid understanding of financial concepts and double-entry bookkeeping
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Ability to perform account reconciliations effectively
• Strong organizational and time management skills
