About the position

The Full Charge Bookkeeper will manage comprehensive accounting functions for a client in the construction/contractor industry. This role involves overseeing accounts payable and receivable, utilizing accounting software, and collaborating with external CPA firms. The position also includes managing payroll activities and conducting job cost analysis to support budget preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full cycle of accounting activities, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
  • Conduct coding for different construction projects
  • Utilize accounting software systems such as Sage 50 for various accounting functions
  • Collaborate with external CPA firms for accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Handle limited in-house payroll activities and use PEO time capture for payroll management
  • Perform job cost analysis and contribute to the preparation of the annual budget
  • Maintain detailed and accurate customer records
  • Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when needed
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated competence in handling all accounting functions.
  • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Ability to prepare and manage the annual budget.
  • Knowledge and experience in job cost accounting.
  • Experience in managing automated payroll systems.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
