About the position

As a Full Stack Big Data Software Engineer at Booz Allen, you will be responsible for developing end-to-end software solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment. This role involves not just coding, but also creating systems that address complex challenges for clients using the latest technologies and architectural approaches. You will work on software and systems from conception to production, ensuring that solutions are robust and consider future enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Develop software and systems from vision to production-ready solutions.
• Identify needed system improvements and implement them using new tools and techniques.
• Ensure that developed solutions consider architecture, operating environment, and future functionality.
• Collaborate with team members to shape systems that meet client needs.

Requirements

• Experience using Linux CLI.
• Experience with Bash or Python scripting.
• Experience developing Java applications in a Linux environment.
• Experience demonstrating Big Data processing.
• Experience with Web development, HTTP, and REST services.
• Experience managing and testing new models for data processing and data flow patterns.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker.
• Knowledge of distributed compute technologies such as Spark or Hadoop.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with NoSQL technologies, including Elasticsearch and Accumulo.
• Experience with signal processing.
• Experience with data flow management and orchestration tools such as NiFi or Airflow.
• Experience with machine learning packages and pipelines.
• Experience with CI/CD principles, concepts, best practices, and tools, including Jenkins and GitLab CI.
