About the position

ManTech is seeking a Full-Stack Software Developer to support the DTRA contract's backend platform needs. The role involves utilizing the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks to deliver scalable solutions. The developer will work closely with the team to create custom tools and systems, ensuring consistent performance while modernizing existing systems through agile software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement backend solutions using modern architectural approaches and open-source frameworks.
• Collaborate with the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites.
• Perform regular problem solving, maintenance, and support for agile software development.
• Contribute to solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Work independently with some guidance and may review or guide activities of junior employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of software development experience (or additional four years of experience in lieu of a degree).
• Experience developing web services against big data technologies using Java, C#, or Python.
• Proficiency in Java Spring and Spring Security.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher.
• Experience deploying Kubernetes within cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Familiarity with automation tools including SaltStack, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Experience with Helm and Terraform.
• Proficiency in developing web applications using JavaScript or TypeScript with frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570 Compliance Certification (Security+ or CISSP) within 6 months of hire.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jasmine, Karma, or Selenium.
• Experience with distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks.
• Current DoD 8570 Compliance Certification (Security+ or CISSP).
